Indeed, it is important that you do learn first about the industry that you are going to be entering before you actually take the leap. It is better to be prepared for battle.

Awesome to hear. It seems that the typical buyers have changed somewhat from only a few years ago. Now days people need to be more informed about the market and trends specific to their areas of interest. There are so many good buys out there where an investor or homeowner can really put themselves into a good spot. With that being said their are always places available that are not great deals. Bottom line always consult a realtor that is an expert in the areas you are considering.

I agree, Real Estate, in my opinion is better than the stock market. Many may say I am prejudiced since I am a REALTOR, but that is not the case. Here in Austin, Texas- we have had no “bubble” to break, resulting in a very stable market.

For investment purposes, real estate is the best game in town at this time. With home prices so low due to foreclosures and short sales, it seems like a no-brainer to me. If you can buy a property for less than it is worth today, think what your equity will be back when prices go back up.

Our prices here in Austin Texas have not gone down but I know they have gone down big time in other areas. Here, buying a short sale or a foreclosure is the best bet.

Real estate courses does make you competitive in the investment arena. Every broker, aspiring or licensed, should definitely take a new course every now and then to make them in tune to the goings on in the industry.

I’ve taken a few real estate investing courses, some are there to provide good information. Others are there to use high preassure sales techniques and a lot of hype to get you to subscribe to their overly expensive mentoring programs so you can make millions with no money down. I’d recommend staying away from these type

Great information for the person looking to invest. I have experienced clients looking to invest, but have no knowledge to do so or even what they want to accomplish with the purchase they are making. These courses would be great for them.
